This edition will kick off with a program that allows you to feel the evolution of noise music, featuring performances by Japanese underground noise music legends INCAPACITANTS, Danish experimental musician and composer Puce Mary, who is internationally acclaimed as one of the leading figures of the 2010s, and Yuko Araki, a Tokyo-based multi-instrumentalist and composer who has developed an approach to free-form analog noise that is active internationally.

This program will feature a performance by cellist, composer and improviser Okkyung Lee, known for his collaborations with many big-name artists such as Christian Marclay, Steve Beresford and Phil Minton, and who has exhibited his work at the Venice Biennale and in museums and galleries around the world. As a double headliner, FUJI|||||||||||TA, a sound artist based in Japan who has been highly acclaimed in Europe and the United States in recent years, will make the world debut of a new live set he created during his residency in Barcelona, ​​Spain in March 2024. The performance will take place in the Sogetsu Hall, located in the basement of the Sogetsu Kaikan, the headquarters of the Sogetsu school of Ikebana, which was completed by Japan's leading architect Kenzo Tange. The hall, with its rock garden "Heaven" by artist and sculptor Isamu Noguchi at its entrance, was also the home of the Sogetsu Art Center, which played a central role in Japanese avant-garde art from 1958 to 1971. A home listening program, "SOUND CEREMONY," will be held at the Ito Residence (formerly the residence of Takahiro Sonoda), a mansion built by Junzo Yoshimura, a representative architect of Japanese modernist architecture, for Takahiro Sonoda, a pianist who has made a great contribution to the Japanese piano and classical music world. The address of the venue is not disclosed, and this program allows you to enjoy a musical experience in your own living space. The music selection will be handled by Bar Nightingale, an experimental music bar with members around the world.
