Black Decelerant is a duo consisting of producers Kari Lucas (Contour) and Omari Jazz. While based in improvisational jazz, they embrace a wide range of musical styles. Their latest album, Reflections Vol. 2: Black Decelerant, was released by RVNG Intl. and PLANCHA.

The album is an ambient jazz work that interweaves political, spiritual, and philosophical themes. The tracks are numbered and arranged in random order, with the intention of challenging the relationship between musical consumption and experience. 2 In particular, "three" blends slate-like ambience with melodic elements, while "one" features a beautiful fusion of synthesizers and piano. 2
